How does growth hormone work?
The growth hormone activity is very transient and has a full range of direct and indirect effects during its half hour or so of activity.
Its direct effect is the binding of growth hormones to receptors on target cells. There are also receptors for growth hormone on adipocytes ((adipocytes)) as well as on myocytes (myocytes). When growth hormone binds to adipocyte receptors, it stimulates them to break down triglycerides and inhibits the ability of adipocytes to absorb circulating lipids, thus achieving fat loss.
When growth hormone enters the liver, one result of its passage through the liver is the secretion of insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) through the liver. Once IGF-1 begins to be secreted, it stimulates the proliferation of chondrocytes, which leads to bone growth. It also plays a part in stimulating the proliferation and differentiation of myocytes (precursors of skeletal muscle fibers.) IGF-1 promotes amino acid uptake and the synthesis of proteins in muscle and other tissues. The presence of other tissues (muscle, etc.) is also due to the presence of growth hormone, which induces the release of insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1).
Growth hormone stimulates protein anabolism in human tissues. This is reflected in an increased rate of protein synthesis, a decrease in protein oxidation, and an increase in amino acid uptake and utilization. As mentioned above, growth hormone stimulates the breakdown of triglycerides in adipocytes and the oxidation of fat (adipocytes) to improve utilization.
Growth hormones can also affect the function of other hormones. It can inhibit the ability of insulin to promote glucose uptake by peripheral tissues and improve hepatic glucose synthesis. Still, growth hormone can stimulate insulin secretion and may produce symptoms of hyperinsulinemia. This combination may lead to decreased insulin sensitivity, which can lead to hyperglycemia. Growth hormones can also have a slight inhibitory effect on the function of our thyroid hormones, but there is a great deal of individual variation in this regard. This is not a concern for the vast majority of users. If you want to simultaneously increase your metabolic rate or enhance the function of growth hormone while using growth hormone, consider adding a low dose of thyroxine. We will provide some relevant strategies for its use in this guide.
We are trying to find a hormone that can help us maintain and accelerate the healing of most of the body’s systems, create new cartilage, bone, and muscle cells, aid in protein absorption, reduce protein oxidation, and can speed up fat utilization. This exciting hormone is – the growth hormone. So, how can we take advantage of this? Let’s take a look at strategies for using growth hormones next.
What are some ways I can increase my growth hormone levels?
Here are a few ways to increase your endogenous growth hormone levels. In most cases, these methods won’t give us a significant increase in growth hormone levels, but these methods have been able to promote all of the benefits mentioned above. And for those who are still very young, these methods are more than enough.
- By adding arginine and glutamine to our daily diet, it is helpful to increase growth hormone levels. This is very effective if we are still young or only need moderate growth.
- Short, high-intensity exercise (high-intensity LEGS DAY) will stimulate our body to secrete large amounts of growth hormone.
- Another method is to inject various related hormones or peptide products. There are many available products on the market, such as growth hormone-releasing hormone GHRH, growth hormone-releasing peptide GHRP (and its analogs), etc. These peptide products can be obtained from research companies and laboratories. The subcutaneous injection of these peptides at a daily dose of 100mcgs is known to increase our growth hormone levels to a great extent.
These methods help to increase growth hormone levels, but the increase is very limited. But if we are trying to increase growth hormone levels significantly, what are we left with besides these strategies? A simple approach: we inject exogenous growth hormone directly.
Injectable growth hormone and its applications
The only true growth hormone product available is a lyophilized powder form. Any other form of product that claims to be growth hormone, those are all not growth hormone, but advertising or other garbage. And the only way to use growth hormone is through subcutaneous or intramuscular injections. You may see some experiments using IV intravenous injections to inject growth hormone, but this is certainly not recommended (in fact, it is utterly insane).
Growth hormone has its natural fragility, and it needs to be protected from light and heat. Growth hormone should be stored between 36-46 degrees Fahrenheit.
Some brands of growth hormone can be stored at normal room temperature for a considerable time, but it is still recommended that it be stored at a low temperature and protected from light. All brands of growth hormone must be refrigerated and protected from light after being dissolved.
Dissolve & Measure Your Growth Hormone
You now have a vial of growth hormone in the form of a lyophilized powder. The dose of this powder should be indicated somewhere. It can be expressed in international units (IU) or milligrams (mg). If the unit of measurement is milligrams, then 1mg ≈ 3iu (more accurately, 2.7iu). We will use this 1mg = 3iu as our standard.
What do we need to do? We need to add some Bacteriostatic Water (BW), sterile water, or liquid vitamin B12 to this lyophilized powder to dissolve in preparation for the next injection.
Which injection solution we choose to use to dissolve the growth hormone should depend on how we plan to use the growth hormone. Sterile water is sterile water with 0.9% phenylethyl alcohol added to it. This allows the alcohol to stop the growth of any bacteria in the injection water, keeping the growth hormone activity and the injection safe for up to three weeks. If we plan to use a bottle of growth hormone for more than two weeks, then Bacteriostatic Water BW is the wisest choice. The average bodybuilder (2-5iu/day) is a very common dose, so a bottle of 10iu of growth hormone can be used up in 2-5 days, so Bacteriostatic Water BW is not necessary. Because such a short period is not enough for bacterial growth, we can choose sterile water or liquid vitamin B12 to dissolve.
Dissolve
- Wipe your growth hormone vial and stopper (BW, sterile water, B12) with an alcohol swab.
- Take a 3cc syringe and use a 23 or 25-gauge needle (1″ or 1.5″) to draw your injection water. How much you dose depends on how much you want to use.
For example, for every 1ml (CC), 10IU bottle of growth hormone – meaning every ten marks in the U100 insulin syringe equals 1IU – growth hormone.
Every 2 ml (CC), 10 IU bottle of growth hormone – means that every 20 marks in the U100 insulin syringe equals 1 growth hormone.
Every 3 ml (CC), 10 IU growth hormone bottle means that every 30 DM in a U100 insulin syringe equals one growth hormone.
- Push the injection water into the vial of lyophilized powder with the syringe, making sure that the needle touches the vial’s wall to avoid the injection water’s direct impact on the lyophilized powder. Let it flow slowly along the vial wall to the lyophilized powder.
- After all the injection water has been added to the growth hormone vial, gently swirl (do not stir or shake the vial vigorously) until the lyophilized powder dissolves, and you will end up with a clear bottle of liquid. The growth hormone is now ready for use. Store your dissolved growth hormone in the refrigerator. If you are using BW to dissolve it, it will last for three weeks. If you use sterile water or liquid B12, it will last five days.
